Action Mesothelioma Day - July 2022

Finally, after 3 years of not being able to meet due to the Pandemic, we gathered at the MShed on Bristol Harbourside, to promote Action Mesothelioma Day.  This is a nationally recognised day to raise awareness of mesothelioma and the dangers of asbestos.

We were blessed with blue skies and sunshine as BBAFS members old and new met in the café for a drink and catch up.  We then headed to the waterfront where Prof Nick Maskell, North Bristol NHS Trust and Neil Thompson, Lancer Scott spoke about mesothelioma and the dangers of asbestos in the workplace.  We ended the day with a dove release in memory of those who have died from this devastating disease.
